{"id":17116,"date":"2017-12-13T11:12:45","date_gmt":"2017-12-13T03:12:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ssc16.gov.my\/bm\/?p=17116"},"modified":"2017-12-17T11:25:03","modified_gmt":"2017-12-17T03:25:03","slug":"athletes-checking-suksar-2017-games-village","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ssc16.gov.my\/bm\/athletes-checking-suksar-2017-games-village\/","title":{"rendered":"Athletes checking into SukSar 2017 Games Village"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-17117\" src=\"https:\/\/ssc16.gov.my\/bm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/DSC_4031-420x279-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ssc16.gov.my\/bm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/DSC_4031-420x279-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ssc16.gov.my\/bm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/DSC_4031-420x279.jpg 420w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>KUCHING: Athletes from all over Sarawak had started arriving at Sukan Sarawak (SukSar) Games Village located at Rafflesia College of Lorong 22H, Desa Ilmu in Kota Samarahan.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 1,000 athletes accompanied by their coaches and team officials will eventually be settled there before they compete in SukSar 2017 Games to be held at Sarawak Sports Complex in Petra Jaya, Santubong and Kota Samarahan from December 14 to 17.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports Datuk Snowdan Lawan who is also chairman of the organising committee of SukSar 2017 had recently visited the games village on DEcember 12 and was satisfied with preparations which went smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are anticipating more athletes to arrive later today (yesterday) and from my visit today, everything here seems to be ready and in place for the games,\u201d the minister said on the related accommodation, transportation, security arrangements and medical aspects that are ready and in place.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith younger athletes participating, we believe that best performing athletes of this games will stand the chance to be chosen to represent the state for next year\u2019s Sukma in Perak.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Expected to be held once every two years, this year\u2019s SukSar will see teams from Southern Zone (Kuching, Serian and Samarahan), Western Zone (Betong, Sri Aman and Sarikei, Central Zone (Sibu, Mukah and Kapit) and Northern Zone (Miri, Bintulu and Limbang).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUCHING: Athletes from all over Sarawak had started arriving at Sukan Sarawak (SukSar) Games Village located at Rafflesia College of Lorong 22H, Desa Ilmu in Kota Samarahan.
